'Ballerinas don't compete with each other, they compete with themselves.'
Recently this thought always come to mind whenever I imagine the struggle of ballet dancers. But then I reconsider this thought, that, actually it is not only ballerinas who can and/or supposed to choose this method. I think a great achievement can be reached if we make a higher standard and undertake efforts-which then will also be bigger too-in order to achieve that escalating standard. Well probably there may be certain who'll disagree with my thoughts. Some people say that if we just limit our self-standard with our own goal-standard, we will not be able to make any progress and only adrift in limited capabilities of self-contained without having any other comparison. This is absolutely NOT what I meant by competing with ourselves. We are now living in the wide-open world. Much information can absolutely be obtained from variety of media. People who want to thrive are those who lay interests in digging up information and capable to absorb them with the aim of use it to raise their ability, to become a better person and do everything in such a better way, gradually. It would be very unfortunate if we only set our self-standard by competing with the others, because the truth is, we could still be much better than that person. 'Di atas langit masih ada langit', just like the proverb says.
How could there be any invention and alteration if people just continue in committing 'follow' and 'compare' between one another? Change, this is what necessary. This would never happen with a chain of similar idea. Be independent, and you can change the world. Still, never get lost in mind and remember the presence of our God The Creator. We, as humans, are responsible to use our brain sagaciously in order to manage the world in a better way from time to time, rather than destruct itself.
Every single neophyte has their own unique role in making changes. Endorse yourself. Why do we have to only reach the goal while we actually have a vast opportunity to pass through it?
